Butter chicken Ingredients
- [ ] 3 tbs ghee/ vegetable oil
- [ ] 1/3 cup Plain yogurt
- [ ] 1 tbs Cumin.
- [ ] 2tbs Garam masala
- [ ] 2tbs Curry powder
- [ ] 1 tbs Chilli powder
- [ ] 1tbs Onion powder
- [ ] 2 tbs Garlic powder
- [ ] 2tbs lemon juice
- [ ] Salt to taste
- [ ] Cubed up chicken thighs/enough to fit in the yoghurt mixture, adapt the quantity to chicken
- [ ] 1 Handful, cashew nuts
- [ ] 1 brown onion
- [ ] 6 tomatoes, or canned tomatoes will work as well
- [ ] Repeat the listed seasonings above
- [ ] 1 tablespoon of garlic paste
- [ ] 1tbs ginger paste
- [ ] 2/3 a cup heavy cream/double cream
- [ ] Fresh parsley
Naan ingredients
- [ ] One cup flour
- [ ] 2 tablespoons oil
- [ ] 1 tsp salt
- [ ] Half a packet of yeast
- [ ] Garlic, butter, parsley
- [ ] for a brighter colour, add more tomatoes and cream,
Instructions
- [ ] Make the chicken marinade
- [ ] Cube up the chicken thighs, chicken breast will cook so less time
- [ ] Let the chicken sit in the marinade for about 30 minutes covered
- [ ] Stay off the chicken, 3 to 4 minutes on each side, remove and then set aside
- [ ] Work on your onions tomatoes for about 5 minutes,
- [ ] and garlic, cashews tomatoes, for another 3 minutes
- [ ] Add in the cream for another 3 minutes
- [ ] Blend the mixture and cook for a minute
- [ ] Add back in your cooked chicken and heavy cream for about five minutes
- [ ] Seasoned to taste with salt, if too sharp add a pinch of baking soda to cut the acidity in the tomatoes
- [ ] Combine plain, flour, oil, salt, and yeast, in a bowl mixed together until a dough is formed
- [ ] Roll out with some more plain flour into flat like shapes
- [ ] 1/2 amount of water to flour (until a firm dough is formed) I rest mine for about 10 to 15 minutes to give the time to activate.
- [ ] Roll the dough into flat like tortilla shapes and cook for a 1:30 min to 3 minutes in a cast iron skillet or hot frying pan until puffed up and done
