Chicken Big Mac and Chicken McCrsipy  Sandwich



I love a big fat burger and I know you do too. And if it’s fried chicken, please send it my way. I have been dreaming about the McCrsipy , but I just knew it wouldn’t meet expectations so I’ve made myself and even better. And this is just the one.


Notes;

  • Fry chicken in a hot piping oil to prevent soggy chicken.

  • score your chicken, so the marinade can penetrate and seep deep inside.

  • Don’t over fry your chicken, it will get dry and nobody likes dry chicken breast.

  • Season it nicely because you can only cheat once in a while and have this burger at home.





Ingredients for Seasoning Chicken ;

  • Onion powder

  • Garlic powder

  • Smoked paprika.

  • Cajun seasoning.

  • Chicken seasoning

  • Chili powder


Buttermilk ;

(which is a combination of whole milk and lemon juice )


  • All-purpose flour

  • Vegetable oil


Ingredients for sandwich;

  • Seeded, brioche buns

  • Lettuce.

  • Red onions.

  • Mayo.

  • Parsley.

  • Complete seasoning.


Recipe for sauce

  1. You’re gonna have to measure from the heart

  2. Add in some mayo, some complete seasoning, and parsley

  3. Mix together and you have your sauce

  4. Optional add a squeeze of lemon juice and a pinch of sugar


Recipe for buttermilk

  1. For every cup of milk, you add remove 1 teaspoon and add lemon juice.

  2. So if you add 2 cups of whole milk, remove 2 teaspoons milk and add lemon juice, mix together and let it sit and thicken



Instructions

  1. Clean with lemon juice , score lightly(basically pierce the chicken) and season your chicken.

  2. Add 2 tablespoons of each of these and mix together ;Onion powder,Garlic powder, Smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, Chicken seasoning,Chili powder.

  3. Set a quarter of this mix aside for seasoning, your flour later on.

  4. Add buttermilk to dry seasoning and mix together to create your wet batter/ marinade.

  5. Add in chicken breast, and leave this to marinate for 3 hours or more.

  6. In a skillet, or a deep frying pan, fill with enough vegetable oil and heat until piping hot (on a safe setting though)

  7. It’s time to coat the chicken for frying.

  8. Remove chicken from the fridge and bring to room temperature before frying.

  9. With a pair of tongs to remove the chicken from the marinade, and let excess batter drip off.

  10. Mix half of the reserved seasoning from earlier on with 2 cups of plain flour.

  11. Submerge the chicken into the seasoned flour” thoroughly ensuring to leave no bald patches.


  1. Gently lower the chicken piece into the hot oil and let it cook for 4 minutes on each side.

  2. Remove and let it cool rest for five minutes.

  3. Crank the heat up to a higher setting and fry for an additional 4 minutes in total on both-sides.

  4. Use a meat thermometer to check if the chicken is cooked through.

  5. Toast your brioche buns, in a frying pan for a minute (toast to prevent a soggy bun )

  6. Wash and slice lettuce and onions.

  7. Make burger sauce( recipe is above ).

  8. Assemble your sandwich.
